This piece, “plate with black on black feather design,” was created by Maria Martinez (San Ildefonso Pueblo; 1887–July 20, 1980) and Popovi Da (San Ildefonso Pueblo; 1923–1971) around the years 1956-1960. It was created in New Mexico, United States. Materials include slipped earthenware. Dimensions measure 2-3/8 x 11-3/8 x 11-3/8 inches. Maria Martinez holds the copyright to this piece. It is in the collection of Native Arts of the Americas at the Indianapolis Museum of Art at Newfields.
